02How it recruits
The Army Postal Service (APS) is a Corps of the Indian Army that runs a dedicated postal system for the armed forces, staffed mainly by serving Department of Posts employees deputed on Field Service duty and by officers commissioned through the Indian Army's regular officer-entry schemes. It is not a separate open external recruitment channel for postal jobs; interested Department of Posts employees apply for APS deputation through their own department, and APS officers are recruited via joinindianarmy.nic.in like other Army Corps.
APS recruits mainly through direct recruitment, without a competitive exam. Posts recorded here are commonly classified as Group A/B.
