02How it recruits

ASRB is an independent recruitment agency, an attached office of DARE, established in 1973 to conduct all-India competitive examinations for entry-level Scientist recruitment (Agricultural Research Service) across every ICAR institute, and the ICAR-NET examination that grants eligibility for Assistant Professor posts in agricultural universities. It also selects Senior Scientists, Heads of Division and Directors of ICAR institutes. Notifications, results and the online application system are hosted on the board's own website.

ASRB recruits mainly through a written examination followed by an interview. Posts recorded here are commonly classified as Group A.
