02How it recruits
In plain words
The Damodar Valley Corporation is a multi-state statutory corporation set up in 1948 under its own Act of Parliament, jointly owned by the Union Government and the governments of West Bengal and Jharkhand, engaged in power generation, irrigation and flood control across the Damodar valley. It recruits Executive Trainees in engineering and mining disciplines mainly through GATE score based selection, and fills technical and mining posts through periodic recruitment drives, with applications accepted only via its own official website or the damodarvalley.com portal.
DVC recruits mainly through a candidate's score in a national test such as GATE or NET, or a written examination followed by an interview. Posts recorded here are commonly classified as Group A/C.
