Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai is a railway coach-manufacturing production unit of Indian Railways under the Ministry of Railways, established in 1955, building conventional and LHB-type passenger coaches. ICF conducts its own annual engagement of Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961 in trades such as Fitter, Electrician, Carpenter, Machinist, Painter and Welder, with selection by merit on Class 10/ITI marks rather than a competitive written exam; regular gazetted and non-gazetted posts are filled through RRB/RRC.

ICF recruits mainly through direct recruitment, without a competitive exam. Posts recorded here are commonly classified as Group apprentice.
