The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC), constituted under the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission Act 2008, conducts recruitment examinations for various Group C posts in the state, including teacher recruitment against JTET-qualified candidates. It is separate from the Jharkhand Academic Council, which conducts the JTET eligibility test itself.

JSSC recruits mainly through a written competitive examination. Posts recorded here are commonly classified as Group C.
