02How it recruits
In plain words
The Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, created in 2002 after the dismantling of the Administered Pricing Mechanism, providing analytical support, data and policy inputs for the petroleum and natural gas sector. It periodically engages consultants, economists and engineers on a contractual or deputation basis for specific posts, with eligibility typically requiring a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, economics or statistics depending on the post advertised.
PPAC recruits mainly through direct recruitment, without a competitive exam, or a direct interview, without a separate written exam. Posts recorded here are commonly classified as Group A/contractual.
