02How it recruits

The Railways Sports Promotion Board (RSPB) is the body under the Ministry of Railways that promotes sport within Indian Railways and recruits accomplished sportspersons to railway service under the sports quota. Recruitment is through Talent Scouting (about 60% of the quota) and Open Advertisement (about 40%), open to sportspersons with certificates from National Sports Federation/MoYAS-recognised championships held within the preceding two financial years; it does not conduct a written examination.
