02How it recruits

The Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu (SDAT) was established in 1992 by merging the erstwhile Directorate of Sports and Youth Services with the Tamil Nadu State Sports Development Corporation. It is the apex body implementing sports and youth-welfare policy in the state, and recruits coaches and sports staff directly through its own careers portal.

SDAT recruits mainly through a direct interview, without a separate written exam, or direct recruitment, without a competitive exam. Posts recorded here are commonly classified as Group B/C/contractual.
