India Post has invited applications for engagement of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) -- Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) and Dak Sevak -- under GDS Online Engagement Schedule-II, July-2026 (Notification No. 17-12/2026-GDS dated 20 August 2026). Vacancies are notified division-wise across postal circles; the notification states that the exact division-wise vacancy position is published on the GDS Online Engagement portal rather than as one all-India total figure in the notification itself. Candidates must have passed Class 10 (Secondary School Examination) with passing marks in Mathematics and English from a recognised board, and must have studied the local language prescribed for the division applied to, up to Class 10.
