The non-refundable application fee is Rs 175 for SC/ST/PWD candidates and Rs 1,000 for all others including OBC and EWS. Selection is through an online examination followed by a personal interview for shortlisted candidates. Selected candidates are placed in pay scales of Rs 48,480-85,290 (JMGS I), Rs 64,820-93,960 (MMGS II) or Rs 85,920-1,05,280 (MMGS III) plus allowances, are liable to be posted anywhere in India, and JMGS I/MMGS II-III selectees must execute a financial indemnity bond of Rs 2,00,000 or Rs 2,50,000 respectively for a minimum 3-year service commitment.
