Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL), a Schedule 'A' Miniratna Category I public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Defence engaged in shipbuilding and ship repair for the Indian Navy, Indian Coast Guard and other customers, has invited online applications for engagement of Trainee Project Executives on a contract basis. A total of 31 vacancies are notified against five disciplines: Mechanical (9 posts), Electrical (12 posts), Electronics (5 posts), Finance (1 post) and Naval Architecture (4 posts); these are the unfilled vacancies carried forward from Advertisement No. 02/2025 and 02/2026. Candidates for the Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and Naval Architecture disciplines must hold a full-time regular B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engineering) degree of 4 years' duration in the respective discipline from a recognised university or institute, and a minimum of one year of relevant post-qualification experience or Graduate Apprenticeship training (apprenticeship in any industry is also considered as experience) as on 31.07.2026. The Finance post requires a graduate who is a qualified Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, or holds a 2-year PG Diploma/PG in Finance. The engagement is initially for 2 years, extendable by up to 1 further year, and does not carry any assurance of regular employment. The upper age limit as on 31.07.2026 is 28 years for UR/EWS, 31 years for OBC, and 33 years for SC/ST, with age relaxation for PwBD candidates as per Government of India guidelines. Consolidated pay is Rs. 35,000 in the first year, Rs. 38,000 in the second year, and Rs. 40,000 in the third (extended) year. An application fee of Rs. 500 is payable online, with exemptions for GSL apprentices/advance trainees, SC/ST/PwBD and Ex-Servicemen candidates. Selection consists of a Written Test (25% General Aptitude, 75% subject/trade-related), Document Verification, and Group Discussion/Interview, with qualifying marks of 40% for General/EWS and 35% for SC/ST/PwBD/OBC(NCL) candidates at each stage.
