Candidates may apply for only one of the four posts; multiple registrations may lead to cancellation of candidature. A confirmation email will be sent to eligible candidates in the 4th week of September 2026, with the exact interview venue, date and mode (walk-in or online) communicated by email; the tentative interview date is also the 4th week of September 2026. The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Chennai - a scientific society under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) - has issued Advertisement No. C-DAC/CHN/02/RCT/2026 dated 4 September 2026, inviting applications for 59 posts of Project Staff on a purely contractual basis. The initial contract tenure is up to 2 years or co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier, extendable based on performance and project requirement. The posts are: Project Associate (Fresher), 14 posts, upper age 30 years, requiring a B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication or Electrical & Electronics, with a consolidated salary of Rs 34,000 per month (minimum CTC Rs 5.06 lakh per annum); Project Engineer (Experienced), 27 posts, upper age 45 years, requiring a B.E./B.Tech with 60% or equivalent CGPA and at least 1 year of relevant post-qualification experience, salary Rs 40,000 per month (minimum CTC Rs 5.89 lakh); Senior Project Engineer (Experienced), 10 posts, upper age 40 years, requiring at least 4 years of relevant experience, salary Rs 60,000 per month (minimum CTC Rs 8.65 lakh); and Project Manager (Experienced), 8 posts, upper age 56 years, requiring a B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech/MCA/MSc/PhD with 60% or equivalent CGPA and at least 9 years of relevant experience, postable at Chennai, Delhi or anywhere in India. All posts other than Project Manager are based at Chennai on a transferable basis. Reservation is provided for SC, ST, OBC and EWS categories as per the vacancy break-up given for each post.
