Clearly, the two points which are maximum distance apart are the end-points of a diagonal. $\therefore$ Reqd. distance = Length of the diagonal $=\sqrt{(100)^{2}+(50)^{2}}$ m $$\begin{aligned} & =\sqrt{1000+2500} \text{ m}=\sqrt{12500} \text{ m} \\ & =50\sqrt{5} \text{ m}=(50 \times 2.236)=111.8 \text{ m} \end{aligned}$$
