Explanation
Let other diagonal $=2 x \mathrm{cm}$. Since diagonals of a rhombus bisect each other at right angles, we have : $$(20)^{2}=(12)^{2}+x^{2} \Leftrightarrow x=\sqrt{(20)^{2}-(12)^{2}}=\sqrt{256}=16 \mathrm{cm} .$$ So, other diagonal = 32 cm. ∴ Area of rhombus $=\frac{1}{2} \times(\text { Product of diagonals })=\left(\frac{1}{2} \times 24 \times 32\right) \mathrm{cm}^{2}=384 \mathrm{cm}^{2} .$
