The Bihar Staff Selection Commission recruits for Group C (non-gazetted) posts of the Government of Bihar such as Stenographer, Lower Division Clerk, Junior Account Clerk, Forest Guard and Grade A Nurse, mainly through its Inter-Level combined competitive examination held in Prelims and Mains stages. BSSC is headquartered in Patna and is distinct from BPSC, which handles the state's Group A/B civil services.
