The Delhi Home Guards is a voluntary force raised under the Home Guards Act 1947 to assist Delhi Police and civil administration during law-and-order duties, traffic management, elections, festivals and disaster response in the National Capital Territory of Delhi. Volunteers are enrolled (not competitively recruited on a permanent cadre basis) and paid a daily duty allowance for the days actually deployed, under the Directorate General of Home Guards and Civil Defence, Delhi, distinct from Delhi Police's own Constable/Head Constable recruitment already listed in this directory under State Boards - State Police Recruitment Board.

Delhi Home Guards recruits mainly through direct recruitment, without a competitive exam. Posts recorded here are commonly classified as Group contractual.
