02How it recruits

FSSAI is a statutory body under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare that sets science-based food safety standards and regulates food manufacturing, storage, distribution and sale in India. It recruits Central Food Safety Officers (CFSO) and Technical Officers through its own exam, and Group A/C posts (including Assistant Director-Technical and deputation posts) advertised on its own careers page.

FSSAI recruits mainly through a written examination followed by an interview, or a direct interview, without a separate written exam. Posts recorded here are commonly classified as Group A/C.
