02How it recruits
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is an autonomous body that conducts recruitment on behalf of public sector banks and Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) across India. It runs the Common Recruitment Process (CRP) for Probationary Officers/Management Trainees (PO/MT), Clerks (Customer Service Associates), and Specialist Officers in participating public sector banks, as well as a separate CRP for Regional Rural Banks covering Officer Scale I/II/III and Office Assistant (Multipurpose) posts. Selection is generally through a Preliminary examination followed by a Main examination, with an Interview stage for officer-level posts. Most of these recruitment cycles run once a year, and applications and updates are published on IBPS's own website. Candidate grievances are handled through a dedicated grievance redressal system.
IBPS recruits mainly through a written competitive examination, or a written examination followed by an interview. Posts recorded here are commonly classified as Group A/B/C.
Entry qualifications recorded: Graduate
