02How it recruits
In plain words
The Indian Council for Cultural Relations, an autonomous body under the Ministry of External Affairs, manages India’s cultural diplomacy — cultural centres abroad, scholarships for foreign students, and cultural exchange programmes. It recruits its own administrative, programme and teaching staff (including for its overseas centres) through vacancy notices on its own website, separate from the Indian Foreign Service recruited via UPSC.
ICCR recruits mainly through direct recruitment, without a competitive exam, or a direct interview, without a separate written exam. Posts recorded here are commonly classified as Group A/B/C.
