02How it recruits
In plain words
The Kendriya Sainik Board, an attached office of the Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare in the Ministry of Defence, sets national policy and coordinates the resettlement and welfare of Ex-Servicemen, war widows, disabled personnel and their dependents. It oversees a nationwide network of state-level Rajya Sainik Boards and district-level Zila Sainik Boards, which carry out the actual local welfare and placement work for ex-servicemen in their respective states/UTs.
KSB recruits mainly through a specific quota (for example sports, compassionate appointment, or ex-servicemen), or direct recruitment, without a competitive exam.
