02How it recruits
In plain words
The Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission, established in 1999 under the state's electricity regulatory law, sets tariffs and licensing conditions for generation, transmission and distribution in Maharashtra. It periodically recruits technical and administrative officers through its own selection process, with vacancies published on its official Vacancies page.
MERC recruits mainly through direct recruitment, without a competitive exam, or a direct interview, without a separate written exam. Posts recorded here are commonly classified as Group A/B.
