The National Centre for Disease Control, under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (Directorate General of Health Services), is India's nodal agency for disease surveillance and outbreak investigation, with regional branches across the country. It directly recruits scientific/technical staff (epidemiologists, microbiologists, lab technicians, field workers) and administrative posts, with vacancy notices on its own website.
