02How it recruits

In plain words

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education, develops school curricula and textbooks and trains teachers through its Regional Institutes of Education (RIEs). It recruits academic staff (Professor to Assistant Professor) at its Delhi headquarters and RIEs, plus editorial, publication and project staff, through notifications on its own website.

NCERT recruits mainly through a written examination followed by an interview, or a direct interview, without a separate written exam. Posts recorded here are commonly classified as Group A/B/contractual.
