NTPC Limited is India's largest power generation Maharatna CPSE under the Ministry of Power. It recruits Engineering, Finance and HR Executive Trainees mainly through the GATE score followed by group discussion and interview, and fills Diploma/ITI Trainee and other non-executive posts through its own written examinations at its thermal, hydro and renewable power stations across the country. Apprentices are engaged under the NAPS scheme.
