GBPUAT Pantnagar, established in 1960 as India's first agricultural university on the American land-grant model, is one of the largest and oldest ICAR-accredited State Agricultural Universities, with eight colleges and 300+ released crop varieties. It recruits its own faculty, research and administrative staff directly through its own website; ICAR-NET (via ASRB) grants the common teaching eligibility.
