02How it recruits
In plain words
Survey of India, under the Department of Science and Technology, is India's oldest scientific department, responsible for the country's topographical mapping and geodetic surveying since 1767. It periodically recruits Surveyor, Draughtsman and Technical Assistant posts through its own examinations, with vacancy notices published on its own website.
SOI recruits mainly through a written examination followed by an interview. Posts recorded here are commonly classified as Group B/C.
