02How it recruits

In plain words

The Uttar Pradesh State Institute of Forensic Science (UPSIFS), inaugurated in March 2024, is the state government’s flagship forensic science education, training and laboratory institution, based in Lucknow. It works alongside the existing network of Forensic Science Laboratories (FSLs) operated by UP Police’s own Technical Services wing (uppolice.gov.in), and periodically recruits scientific and technical staff for its labs and academic programmes.

UPSIFS recruits mainly through a written examination followed by an interview. Posts recorded here are commonly classified as Group B.
