Apply online at the High Court of Punjab and Haryana's recruitment portal from 28-08-2026. Candidates must hold a valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving licence and at least 2 years' driving experience; a printout of the application with supporting documents is submitted at the time of testimonials checking.

The High Court of Punjab and Haryana at Chandigarh has invited online applications for 25 posts of Driver on its establishment, under Employment Notice No. 04/DRV/HC/2026 dated 28 August 2026. Of the 25 posts, 21 are in the General category, 3 are reserved for SC/ST/BC candidates and 1 for Ex-Servicemen; the Board notes the number of vacancies may increase or decrease depending on the merit list prepared. Online applications opened on 28 August 2026 and close on 18 September 2026 at 11:59 PM. Candidates must be at least 10+2 pass with Punjabi or Hindi as one subject in matriculation, must hold a valid Light Motor Vehicle driving licence, must not have been convicted of any offence for negligent driving, and must have at least two years' experience driving a car. Age must be between 18 and 35 years as on the last date of application, with the upper age limit relaxed for Ex-Servicemen by their years of defence service plus 3 years. The application fee is Rs 1000 for General category candidates and SC/ST/BC candidates domiciled outside Punjab, Haryana and UT Chandigarh, and Rs 800 for SC/ST/BC candidates domiciled in Punjab, Haryana or UT Chandigarh and for Ex-Servicemen; the fee is payable online and is non-refundable, with online transaction charges extra. Reservation and fee/age relaxation benefits for SC/ST/BC and Ex-Servicemen categories require the relevant certificate and, for BC candidates, exclusion from the creamy layer as per the applicable state rules. Selection will be made through a shortlisting process followed by a Practical Test-cum-Interview; selected candidates must first complete a trial period, paid at daily-wager rates approved by the Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh, before being considered for appointment. Pay and allowances will be governed by the rules applicable to High Court of Punjab and Haryana employees.
