02How it recruits
In plain words
The Bar Council of India (BCI) is a statutory body established under the Advocates Act 1961 to regulate legal education and the legal profession in India. It recruits its own administrative staff, including Accounts Officers (requiring CA qualification), Assistant Secretaries and Stenographers, through notifications on its own website. BCI is headquartered in New Delhi.
BCI recruits mainly through direct recruitment, without a competitive exam, or a direct interview, without a separate written exam. Posts recorded here are commonly classified as Group B/C.
