The Office of the Chief Labour Commissioner (Central), also called the Central Industrial Relations Machinery, is the apex central body responsible for maintaining industrial relations, enforcing labour laws and conducting conciliation in establishments under the Central Sphere. It recruits Labour Enforcement Officers (Central), who act as inspectors and conciliation officers under various central labour enactments, with recruitment rules and vacancy notices published on its own website.
