02How it recruits
In plain words
The Directorate General of Health Services is a technical wing of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, overseeing central health institutes and hospitals. It recruits Senior Residents, Specialist Medical Officers and Consultants (including on re-employment/deputation) at its central hospitals, and Group B/C technical, nursing and administrative staff at institutes functioning under it, such as AIIHPH Kolkata and NCDC Delhi. Notices are published on the DGHS website's tenders/jobs section.
DGHS recruits mainly through a direct interview, without a separate written exam, or a written examination followed by an interview. Posts recorded here are commonly classified as Group A/B/C.
