IIST, an autonomous institute under the Department of Space, is India's first institute set up to train personnel for the space programme, offering undergraduate and postgraduate education alongside research. It recruits Assistant Professor faculty posts in aerospace engineering, avionics, mathematics and physics, and periodically hires Project Associates and Project Fellows on contractual research positions.
