ISRO is India's national space agency under the Department of Space, headquartered in Bengaluru. Its own scientist/engineer recruitment is centralised through the ISRO Centralised Recruitment Board (ICRB), which conducts a written examination followed by an interview for engineering graduates seeking Scientist/Engineer 'SC' posts, filling vacancies across ISRO's headquarters and all its constituent centres and units. Technician and other Group C posts are recruited separately by each centre through its own written test. Current openings for every centre are listed on the ISRO careers page, which links out to the individual recruitment portals of VSSC, URSC, SAC and the other centres.

ISRO recruits mainly through a written competitive examination, or a written examination followed by an interview. Posts recorded here are commonly classified as Group A/C/apprentice.
