02How it recruits

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a Tri-Services (Army, Navy, Air Force) youth training organisation under the Ministry of Defence, headed by a Director General and administered through 16 state/UT Directorates across the country. Besides cadet training, NCC Directorates recruit their own civilian and ministerial staff and commission officers to lead cadet units, notified individually by each Directorate.

NCC recruits mainly through direct recruitment, without a competitive exam, or a direct interview, without a separate written exam. Posts recorded here are commonly classified as Group B/C.
