The National Medical Commission (NMC) is a statutory body established in 2020, replacing the Medical Council of India, to regulate medical education and medical professionals in the country through its Commission and four autonomous Boards. It recruits its own administrative and technical staff through notifications on its own website. NMC is headquartered in Dwarka, New Delhi.

NMC recruits mainly through direct recruitment, without a competitive exam, or a direct interview, without a separate written exam. Posts recorded here are commonly classified as Group A/B.
