02How it recruits

The Odisha Staff Selection Commission, set up in 1994, conducts direct recruitment against Group C (and some Group B) posts across roughly 85 state-cadre services and departments of the Government of Odisha, principally through its Combined Graduate Level (CGL) and Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) examinations. OSSC is headquartered in Bhubaneswar and is distinct from OSSSC, which handles district-cadre Group C posts, and from OPSC, which handles Group A/B gazetted posts.

OSSC recruits mainly through a written competitive examination. Posts recorded here are commonly classified as Group B/C.
