Class 11 and 12 Maths Tuition in Dwarka: What to Expect and How to Choose

In short: Class 12 CBSE maths is an 80-mark paper plus 20 marks of internal assessment. Calculus alone carries close to half the theory marks. What the two years cover

Under the current CBSE syllabus:

Calculus is the centre of Class 12, at about 35 of the 80 theory marks. Class 11 limits and derivatives and Class 11 algebra are its foundations. A shaky Class 11 shows up quickly in Class 12. Always check the current year's syllabus document, because weightages and deleted topics change.

Where marks are actually lost

1. Skipped steps. Board marking gives credit for the method. An answer that jumps to the result can lose most of the marks even when the result is right.
2. Algebra slips inside calculus. A sign error in the third line of an integration costs the whole question. Writing neatly and checking each line is a trainable habit.
3. Unpractised formats. Case-based questions, assertion–reason items and linear programming graphs reward having done enough of each to feel routine.
4. Time. Students who practise only untimed lose marks at the end of the paper. Timed full papers in the last two months fix this.

Chemistry tuition is largely explanation and memory: mechanisms, trends, NCERT facts. Maths tuition is largely practice. The tutor's job is to watch the student solve, catch the faulty step at once, and set the next problem at the right difficulty.
