02How it recruits

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), an autonomous board under the Ministry of Education, affiliates and examines schools across India and abroad. It recruits its own Board Secretariat staff (Assistant Secretary and below) through notifications on its own website; CBSE itself does not employ school teachers, and its CTET (teacher-eligibility test) role is listed separately.

CBSE recruits mainly through a written examination followed by an interview. Posts recorded here are commonly classified as Group B/C.
