02How it recruits
In plain words
The University Grants Commission (UGC), a statutory body set up by Act of Parliament in 1956, coordinates, funds and sets standards for university education across India. It recruits its own secretariat staff through notifications on its own website/job portal; it does not itself employ university or college teachers — its UGC-NET eligibility test role (via NTA) is listed separately.
UGC recruits mainly through a written examination followed by an interview. Posts recorded here are commonly classified as Group A/B.
Entry qualifications recorded: Post-graduatePhD
