02How it recruits

The Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force guards the India-China border from the Karakoram Pass in Ladakh to Jachep La in Arunachal Pradesh. It recruits directly for Constable, Head Constable (Ministerial) and Tradesman posts through its own recruitment portal, with selection running through a Physical Efficiency Test, Physical Standard Test, document verification, written exam and medical examination.

ITBP recruits mainly through a written competitive examination. Posts recorded here are commonly classified as Group C.
