02How it recruits

Samagra Shiksha, run by the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, is an integrated centrally-sponsored scheme for school education from pre-school to Class 12, subsuming the earlier Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan and Teacher Education schemes. It is implemented through a State Implementation Society in each state, which separately recruits contractual staff such as Finance & Accounts Officers and Procurement Managers, notified on their own state portals.

Samagra Shiksha recruits mainly through direct recruitment, without a competitive exam, or a direct interview, without a separate written exam. Posts recorded here are commonly classified as Group contractual.
