Swachh Bharat Mission-Grameen (SBM-G), run by the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Jal Shakti, works to make rural India open-defecation-free and to sustain solid/liquid waste management. Contractual coordinators and support staff are recruited by each state's own Mission cell, notified on state/district portals; swachhbharatmission.ddws.gov.in is the central scheme website.
