02How it recruits
In plain words
The Special Protection Group provides proximate security to the Prime Minister of India and certain other protectees. It has no direct public recruitment — its personnel are drawn entirely on deputation from the Railway Protection Force and Central Armed Police Forces (CISF, BSF, SSB, CRPF, ITBP, NSG, Assam Rifles), following rigorous physical, psychological and security screening arranged through the candidate's parent force.
SPG recruits mainly through a specific quota (for example sports, compassionate appointment, or ex-servicemen).
