Editorial & corrections policy

Where our facts come from, how often they are updated, and how to tell us when something is wrong.

Sourcing — official links only

4AB (4ab.in) is run by Aniket Bhardwaj. A fact about an exam, a job, a deadline or a fee is taken from the body that announced it — the exam's own website, the recruiting organisation's notice, or a government portal — and the page links to that source so you can check it yourself. We do not copy dates or numbers from other news or coaching sites. If an official source cannot be found, the page says so instead of guessing, and the item is not presented as confirmed.

The same rule covers the other sections. Festival dates in the Hindu festival calendar are checked against two panchangs, and each dated post names both sources and its reference city. Chemistry questions in the question bank are checked against the original paper; a question that has been checked carries a "checked by 4AB" mark, and one still being checked is marked "under review". Author and company facts are taken only from pages already published by the people concerned.

Update cadence

  • Exam news (/directory/exam-news/) — rebuilt from the official sources every three hours; a date stays marked unconfirmed until an official page states it.
  • Jobs (/directory/jobs/) — refreshed nightly from the recruiting organisations' notices.
  • Festival posts — published well before the festival with the year's date; when the next year's date is announced the same page is updated rather than a new one created.
  • Reference pages (periodic table, calculators, deity encyclopedia) — changed when an error is found or the source data changes; the page's own date shows the last real change.

Corrections

When we get something wrong we fix it on the same page and keep the URL. If the change alters a fact a reader may have relied on — a date, a fee, an answer key — the page says what was changed. For example, the Vijayadashami 2026 post carries a note that its date was corrected from 21 to 20 October after checking two panchangs. Small fixes to spelling or formatting are made without a note.

Report an error

Use the report form — one short form, no login — for a wrong answer, a wrong date, a broken link or anything else that looks wrong. Tell us the page and what you think is wrong; a link to the official source helps us check faster. You can also write to Support@4ab.in or call +91 92121 42427. Each report is checked against the source and the page is either corrected or the report answered.
