(d)1090
Answer
Answer (as printed): C
Explanation
Suppose number of articles bought of each kind = L.C.M. of 5, 4, 9 = 180. $$\text { C.P. of } 360 \text { articles }=₹\left(\frac{1}{5} \times 180+\frac{1}{4} \times 180\right)=₹ 81 .$$ S.P. of 360 articles $=₹\left(\frac{2}{9} \times 360\right)=₹ 80$. If loss is ₹ 1, articles bought = 360. If loss is ₹ 3 , articles bought $=(360 \times 3)=1080$.
