(b)$28 \frac{1}{3}$
(c)$30 \frac{1}{3}$
(d)$33 \frac{1}{3}$
(e)None of these
Answer
Answer (as printed): D
Explanation
S.P. $=₹ 340$. Let marked price be ₹ $x$. Then, $85 \%$ of $x=340 \Rightarrow x=\left(\frac{340 \times 100}{85}\right)=400$. $$\text { C.P. }=₹\left(100 \times \frac{3}{340} \times 340\right)=₹ 300 \text {. }$$ Now, C.P. $=₹ 300$. S.P. $=₹ 400$. $$\text { ∴ } \text { Required profit } \%=\left(\frac{100}{300} \times 100\right) \%=33 \frac{1}{3} \% \text {. }$$
