Explanation
Let the number of passengers travelling in A.C. sleeper class, first class and sleeper class be $x, 2 x$ and $3 x$ and let their fares be $5 y, 4 y$ and $2 y$ respectively. Then, $x \times 5 y+2 x \times 4 y+3 x \times 2 y=45600$ $$\begin{aligned} & \Rightarrow 5 x y+8 x y+6 x y=45600 \Rightarrow 19 x y=45600 \\ & \Rightarrow x y=2400 . \end{aligned}$$ ∴ Income from A.C. sleeper class = 5xy $$=₹(5 \times 2400)=₹ 12000 .$$
