Three partners A, B, C start a business. Twice A's capital is equal to thrice B's capital and B's capital is four times C's capital. Out of a total profit of ₹ 16500 at the end of the year, B's share is :
(a)₹ 4000
(b)₹ 6000
(c)₹ 7500
(d)₹ 6600
Answer
Answer (as printed): B
Explanation
Let $\mathrm{C}=x$. Then, $\mathrm{B}=4 x$ and $2 \mathrm{A}=3 \times 4 x=12 x$ or $\mathrm{A}=6 x$. $$\therefore \quad \mathrm{A}: \mathrm{B}: \mathrm{C}=6 x: 4 x: x=6: 4: 1 .$$ So, B's share $=₹\left(16500 \times \frac{4}{11}\right)=₹ 6000$.
