Explanation
We have : $l b=60$ and $\sqrt{l^{2}+b^{2}}+l=5 b$. Now, $l^{2}+b^{2}=(5 b-l)^{2}$ $$\begin{aligned} & \Rightarrow 24 b^{2}-10 l b=0 \\ & \Rightarrow 24 b^{2}-600=0 \\ & \Rightarrow b^{2}=25 \Rightarrow b=5 . \\ & \therefore \quad l=\left(\frac{60}{5}\right) \mathrm{m}=12 \mathrm{m} . \text { So, length of the carpet }=12 \mathrm{m} . \end{aligned}$$
