02How it recruits

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) conducts the Bihar Teacher Eligibility Test (BTET), the state qualifying exam for primary and upper-primary teaching posts, and separately the Secondary/Senior-Secondary TET (STET) for Classes IX-XII. Actual recruitment against notified vacancies is carried out separately (e.g. by BPSC's Teacher Recruitment Examination), with BTET/STET as the eligibility gate.

BTET recruits mainly through a written competitive examination. Posts recorded here are commonly classified as Group C.
